The oldest bicycle to be on display here at San Jose Bicycles! It’s a new edition to the few bicycles I will have on display here at the shop is this 1934 Schwinn Excelsior “X” Track Bike. I’m hoping the year is correct, according to the previous owner its a 1934. It has a small San Jose licence plate from 1941 attached with a wire and crimp bead. Such interesting features like an original Schwinn rear reflector, Excelsior “X” head tube badge, sew up tubular tires and rims, front and rear Departure hubs, Sweatheart skip-tooth chainring, drop handlebars, and a Pearsons leather saddle. Check out the pics and lets hear what you think about it! Do you think it was ever ridden on the old wooden tracks on Race street here in San Jose? -Jonsey
