San Jose, California: Alum Rock Park
Alum Rock Park is located on the eastern side of San Jose Ca. in a small East-West valley on the California Diablo mountain range just North of My Hamilton. Its a great place to go mountain biking or even some short hilly road biking runs if you live near San Jose. There is a paved road and some walkways that start at the entrance to the park. Branching off this road are many mountain biking and hiking trails that stretch upwards toward the summits of various hilltops in the area for about 13 miles total. If your a rider of any skill level you will get a good ride in and build your bicycling skills even if you don’t make it to the top of a nearby peak.
